Everyone involved in RF has donated their time for years for very minimal donations. How is that fair? If you really want it to be fair then you would realize $25 is a great deal and if you don't have the money you still get the tracks after waiting a month.

Just as an example. For banners and shadows and miscellaneous stuff I will probably average 2-3 hours per track. 2.5x12=30 hours and that assumes that I don't make anything new or help with anything else. At the same time I have a day job, I render for real clients that pay me real money on nights and weekends, and I have a personal life.

I am not an exception. Everyone involved at RF has donated their time very graciously for a long time. We aren't making enough money off this to even consider it greedy, its just a little incentive to keep proving fun stuff for the community.

How is that for fair?
I get what your saying, i would love to donate $36 NZD but i dont have any spare money to spend on it. I really wanted to race this season but i might not be able to do all rounds so it wont be worth paying. If you guys are sick of making tracks then dont make them and get someone that enjoys making them. I like to skin and dont charge because i enjoy it.

Anyway that's my opinion and you can disagree if you want

If you have paid and sent your email to me (chris@racefactorygaming.com), your membership has been processed and you can view it on the rF website when you log in (User Control Panel - Membership).

If it is not there or active, check your "preferred email address" as I emailed a couple who had complications.

If you don't have an email, and it isn't active, please email me to chris@racefactorygaming.com so we can sort it out.

As of this post all memberships that are complete are on the rF site.

Thank you everyone thus far for the support.

If you don't have spare money, don't race?
I might not be able to do all rounds so it wont be worth paying
You were intelligent enough to come to that conclusion, I would hope you're able to comprehend the multiple explanations as to why they went this route.

Lucky for you, plenty of guys are donating to make this worth it so we will be giving you the tracks for free...

If not for those guys, there would be no new tracks. I guess that is the part no one is understanding. We weren't going to continue for free. Making these replica tracks has become just as much of a job as a hobby when balanced against everything else we have going on.

If someone else is willing to step up and make them for free, they absolutely can. They can even run their own series. And if they do it as good or better than rF for free, they will crush rF and the paid system. If not, you'll have to settle for paying or waiting a bit to get them.

I probably wont race a single rF race this season. (Since I´m european and too old to be up at 3-4 am ;))
Still paid the 25$ since I think its a bargain for such a high level track pack and if we dont support the people keeping this community alive then it will surely just die off.
Also getting the tracks a month or two earlier is really nice :P
Incredible people are still complaining about the track even tho they still get them for free, only later.
I cant think of a more fair deal tbh,

Is there a link anywhere to additional donations on top of membership fees?

I don't think the rF crew is sick of making the tracks, if I'd be them, I'd be sick of all kids complaining about literally everything free that they get. Also we could leave AMA out to people who would do it for free, but almost all the creators that would be able to uphold the same standards of trackmaking and not making a track that's shit in comparison, have left the community or doesn't make too many tracks anymore. Or they just wouldn't want to make 12 nationals in 20 weeks. Let's face it, how often does a AAA track comes out like Black Mesa or Mission Valley these days? Not often. Everyone now rushes it and makes it 100% traction along with WFO stuff and are like "Hey dudes dis track took me 2 dayz to finnish, hope u guyz lik it cuz it's guud.". Not exactly everyone, but surprisingly many.

Double post @my last statement. I still appreciate people making tracks, I really do, I would just see kids spend a little more time to perfect them instead of rushing them :)

You can get 25$ online, easily. You can answer surveys it doesn't pay too good, but soon enough it would be 25$. You can sign up to pages like Testbirds.com, there you try websites, give feedback and get paid. The entry test gives you 5€ (where I live), after 10€ you can cash out. I've gotten offered some tests for 30$, and it's not a 100h process, you'll kill it in a few hours. There are ways to make money of you're willing to do it. So by doing this, you would get your 25$.

True. Wonder why most pro's seems to like this?
