I just love all these casual players that are bitching about getting the tracks for free, but at a later date. You spodes can still be able to play the track. The only thing that effects you is that you can't race, which sounds like it won't be a problem.

Love the membership idea, and $25 is a perfectly reasonable amount. Hopefully this will keep some of you juvenile kids out. Oh, and to all of you that are complaining, just run your own series with last years tracks.

I'm still having trouble processing this new business model. I just don't see how this will help grow and contribute to MXS in the long run. I mean I get it you guys want some money's but how long do we do this shit until you guys get tired of it? Or up the price? I just don't see this helping any, if anything I see it hurting us in the long run.

You think them not hosting outdoors at all would have been better for MXS?

I don't mean to be a dick. But what makes you think this is for the benefit of sim. I was under the influence that it's about them getting something out of their work. I don't think it's about "benefiting the community"

rF is not a feature of MX Simulator, it is a third party service that is offered to those who (now) want to pay for it. Be happy that it was free for as long as it was. the game still works the same, you can still play online, so don't act like you're being robbed of something.

So.. I'm not those people and you guys don't know my exact views on this. I've supported rF since day one and will continue to support them for as long as it lives. But that doesn't mean I have to agree with what they are doing here and no I'm not here just for free tracks. I'm more worried about where rF will be in 5 years (if there still here).

However, they are making this game more exclusive than before (reducing their reach) and they might get $1000 a piece when it's done...call it $2000 for the year... That isn't a lot of money, and if they are ready to quit now, they will still be ready to quit in the near future.

couldn't agree more. the amount of money isn't the issue. this model is equal to $$$ download content on steam or any of the consoles or even phones. these models might make some money but 9 out of 10 times its the nail in the coffin for whoever is doing it. Unless you have a HUGE base of players (counterstrike, etc...) then its no big deal but this community is much much smaller. you piss off half your community and you will be having races with 4 guys entering. lol.

you want to charge entry fees for racing. go ahead. why limit the track???? more guys riding the track produces more guy wanting to try racing...

There's a problem with your statement, "you piss off half your community and you will be having races with 4 guys entering." Half the community isn't pissed off about this. I'd argue that less than 1% of the community is pissed off, and most of them are guys that make other racers not want to race because they race/ride like assholes. Also, your question "why limit the track?" has already been answered. If you give the track out to anyone, then what is stopping Joe Motocross from hosting a free series on those tracks?

Where will Rf be in 5 years? Not sure, but without this model I can promise it would be gone. Perhaps it's postponing the inevitable that will eventually happen, but this definitely gives us a chance to keep going. Without this THERE WOULD BE NO NATIONALS!!!

As far as "pissing off half the community" and "races with four riders"... I've seen maybe 10 guys or less complaining. That's not even a fraction of the supporters who have supported with a membership. They just aren't posting. And there will still be full gates racing.

And I don't believe it is anyone outside the Rf staffs job to tell us what we should and should not do with our content, our time, the money we've raised, etc. If you don't think it's worth it or don't want to pay, don't. And don't complain about it, we don't care, we care about providing value to those who are supporting us.
