The stat page posts the top 100 lap times, so if your in the top 40, say by 8pm thursday then you make the cut. Make each rider accountable for checking to see if they made the cut by checking the lap record page...http://elsinore.mxsimulator.com:8080/mxsim/..And, all riders who aren't in the top 40 have no business showing up.
A lot of the people posting times there aren't available for the race though. The parts that take the most time for me are looking up the slot numbers for people who have reconnected and trying to let people back in who have disconnected. If everyone would just show up at 9:00 and stay in the same slot it would be easier.

Just my take on the whole thing, should save a lot of head aches and take a some of the stress out of it.
I like this idea. But Alot of people go on that server, but cant do the actual race due to time zones. -- As JLV said

Shack should call himself Stewart

Ha, I think the current format is ok, we finished in 2 hours.

JLV about the disconnecting thing, a lot of the time it was a "timed out" issue. Obviously if someone freezes, or internet crashes, that would kick them, but "falling asleep" can be disabled just for this race? that way people can go to the bathroom, or kitchen or whatever they please, and they won't be kicked out due to inactivity. Things ran much smoother this week though, and i'm sure they will continue to run smoother.

Good point on the inactivity timeout. I'll do that next time.

It would be over faster if you just cut the practice down too. Only use it to see if the correct people are in the not in warm up, do maybe one lap and go. Then there could be more laps in the races. :D

Damn, I sound like an idiot when I don't preview the post. I meant: "Only use it to see if the correct people are not in warm up, do maybe one lap and go."

Shack can't call himself stewart if I post the fastest lap time. Remember what stewart is famous for, he wins when he doesn't crash.

I was just watching the video of anaheim (the real life version) and I was comparing the berms to both recent mxs tracks, and I think the berms in the 180 turns need to be steeper in game. In the actual track they really cradle the bike and you can rail em so hard and slingshot out.

Yeah the only problems with these tracks is the berms, they are almost useless. If people are making the jumps too easily just move the berm slightly closer to the jumps as the design, and move the jumps slightly close to the berm than in the plans and we will be set :D

Even if you leave them in the same spot it gives you flexibility in line choice. You can rail the first part of the berm then tuck inside, or you can brake late and run in deep but still have the berm there to give you the bite you need to force it around.

On another note, I hope jlv getting double punted makes it into the video recap of the race even though it wasn't in the main.

i would love to see more maybe 15 man main or so.

we have 30 REAL fast riders always, half can qualify and half dont get qualified because of other people, just wish there was more of a better chance then top 2 haha. oh well it makes it intense.
