Close to 100 entries to 50 in the two classes, looks to me like RF needs to do a little more to discourage sandbagging the lites. Where the hell is the glory in sandbagging a title anyway? If you can run with the top guys do it.

Who would that be? I don't think anyone in the top ten for laptimes for East right now has finished in the top ten in a SX main.

With 3 people being in the hunt for 450s, i guess any smart person would drop down.
Hopefully not many 450 riders drop out with the silly top 10 rule.

I wasn't aware that the Lites was an amateur class...I think Lites East looks pretty even steven to me....yzed has 2nd best time right now and he is 1/6 making mains in the SX class...

Being able to run inside the top 20 450 qualifying times on a smaller bike, and not just racing 450's, seems like sandbagging to me. 250 class is meant to prepare you to be able to run with the 450's. If you already can, why bother? Like I said, there's not a whole lot of glory to be had from 250 competition.

The top 40 guys in the Lites class are within 4 seconds of each other...Where is the cut off for sandbagging? I'd say the Lites East class is pretty evenly matched...guess not everyone will see it that way. Again, NO ONE racing East (out of the sign ups so far) can consistently qualify for 450 mains, the competition level really is that high, this is the TOP level of MXS riders...

Interesting that you should point out that spread, because the top 40 450 times are 9 whole seconds apart. This is supposed to be the top level of racing, and the 250's are supposed to be the support class. I'm done now, agree to disagree if you'd like. Out of curiosity, what do I have to do to switch to the 450's and just run the 250 there?
