lag on single player??

Hi I tried to do a race in single player with atleast 19 AI riders and it was a bit choppy and the sound was too. I thought it would be fun to do a 40 rider race but I cant even do a 20 rider race... anyone know of anything that would fix or improve this? maybe graphic settings of somekind? I am just using a Dell laptop and idk much about computers.

You need a pretty fast CPU to run that many AI riders. I'm running a Core i3 and only get 70 fps with a full AI gate.
