Whatever happened to creativity? Can't you people make something other than replica graphics and apparel? Well, I guess the majority of the people on here are less than 15 so maybe creativity is out of their vocabulary. Ahh, you just have to love a community full of noobs. (and by noobs I mean people who are experiencing mx gaming for the first time in mxsim)
Actually Mr. High and Mighty, I don't like fantasy gaming. So that's why I am interested in creating replica skins. When you made new bike models why weren't you more creative and make your own bikes up?

Not trying to come across as high and mighty, sorry phathry, I was trying to make the point that everyone needs to try and come up with their own stuff now and again, makes the world more interesting. In addition to this, I was also trying to burn in the fact that we don't need 3 makita bikes, 4 redbull hemlmets, ect ect. There hasn't been a skin for the kawi in a long while, no one has skinned the two strokes hardly, msr/alpinestar/shift/tld/whatever else gear is non-existent. I'm just saying, you know. Take it for what it's worth. And for the record, I haven't been around since mcm days, I was only over at mgf for about half a year before I came to mxs, so I'm not a god anyways, I'm just opening some people's eyes.

I think that has to do with the quality of the models.

I agree with DDMX's question though - with all those within this (and the MvA) community who have really honestly a lot of ton of artistic and graphic talent, why aren't more people designing their own gear/bikes, rather then having these people with tremendous artistic talent spend hours and hours trying to copy someone else's work?!!?

I'm very much a n00b at skinning, but what little time I am able to devote to it, I spend making stuff that's an expression of my preferences, not those of the dudes at red bull (who have the worlds most bland design taste anyway) or makita suzuki.

I dunno about you, but 99% of the creative shit I make ends up in the trash.

Replicas are the only thing I can do. I don't have the brain capacity or willingness to do it. :D

How come on the upper part of it, in the lighter area, there are 2 diagonal lines that split the light "stripe"?

i think u could copy n paste them because the guy that created spastic drew them out on the comp so im not sure if theyll fit on the shrouds but try it then add shading

Looks good, except the top part. The two lines shouldn't be there. That'd be something else reflecting on it. My shrouds definitely don't look like that.
