Now if anybody wants to use this template, id be willing to put your graphics under it. Heres a preview of it, and the Two Two Motorsports graphics im working on, havent gotten much time on to it, but im working slowly: http://i1040.photobucket.com/albums/b40 ... t014-2.png
Some parts arent good, as in the parts on the swing, ive made new ones, but I just put those graphics over a png I had laying around in my personal folder.
It looks like a combination of no spec map, the strength of the normal map and the lighting on that track. Try toning down the strength of it and on one of the newer tracks with decent lighting
Yeah that seemed to be the problem, I came across Garasaki's skin thread, and found a spec map in his source files, as I don't know how to make them myself yet, I figured I'd slap it on there, and here's the result,
Looks a bit odd with the lines on the back, or is it like it's actually supposed to be like that..?

Yeah those lines correspond to the lines on the oneal gear. Check the yellow in the pic below. My goal was to make the accent color (yellow in this case) "pop" and reflect as if it were an applied heavy plastic material.
I think I had released the .psd file so you can turn those off yourself or modify them or whatever.
You should note that the lighting values set by the track creator will have a lot of influence over how much your spec map glows and even what color it glows (go ride my MX Jones tracks for example). IMO most creators use lighting that is much too strong and results in a very bright glow that crushes the whites in many skins.

No shit Sherlock, I was kinda aware of that.. But as I said I have no experience with making specular maps so I just put his on there, thought it looked kinda cool, but it's only temporary.
