Gas Gas is only an enduro and trials bike manufacturer. The popularity comes from trials mainly. That's interesting because at least the older gas gas enduro bikes has a kind of trials feeling when riding. The fork angle is very steep and the bike turns easily. I don't know about these new ones, some said that they're going to feel more like a KTM. Allright here was a little wiki about gas gas bikes
So there is no any official mx version existing.

Then you did something wrong. Put the saf file to your PERSONAL folder, everything should be working fine then.
And if you didn't read the first post, bike uses the CR250 in game.
It's possible at some point as I get the 125 pipe done for the CR project. Actually I can skin the CR engine to look like the gas gas one when it's finished
Maybe I would use the flywheel cover from the EC250, it's very similar. But I don't have time for making a completely new EC125 engine because the CR will possibly be a much bigger project.
actually gas gas had an mx version back in 2004, it was called Gas Gas MC, my cousin still has one...but they are pretty much same as EC, just without the enduro stuff, and the engine has bit different settings.
They are focusing on trial/enduro riding mostly in Europe...in Czech Republic they start to be pretty popular last couple of year among amateur rider, because ktms are way more expensive and the quality is not that much different these days. I have two EC 300s at home (2006, 2007) and they ride really nice...but most of the pros here still riders ktms
Yeah the difference on the price is amazing when compared to KTM. In Finland the new KTM 300 exc is around 8000 euros, and the new Gasser is about 1500 euros cheaper.
The subframe and the clutch cover of the gas gas is made using plastic, I don't know how this affects the price. And the Sachs and Marzocchi components as well.
Oh I just noticed that now there's a ton of new reference pics came out when the model is finished. Looks pretty successful though.
And going to the local bike expo tomorrow, hopefully will see the real thing there and see what's wrong in the model
well IMO the prize difference is so big because of the brand name...ktms are considered as really great enduro bikes and have made themselves pretty big name during the last decade, which is what you pay for I guess. GGs are still not so famous to make people pay for the name....sure there are also technological differences as you said plastic subframe/cluch cover, etc which also make it cheaper, but I don't think they can save 1500€ just on that
also I saw the model at local GG dealer and your model is pretty much spot on...you are missing few details like exhaust mount (muffer) etc, but overall the bike seems to be pretty accurate

You seems to be really skilled considering this is your first bike model! Respect
Not his first.
