Oh no mona, i understand what you say, my point was actually that bonair expects things to be the way he wants it, if it isnt, he complains, thing is, if it wasnt for the model to be made, what would he complain about?

I don't expect it to be the way I want it... I expect it to be how it should be. Silly head. Mona makes exact sense and knows exactly what I mean. I never said this was bad either. You can still skin it good...

I love this discussion.

There has been made a pretty decent UVW unwrap, yet people complain it's not the same as a sticker decal cut out for the real bike. Why do they complain?.. Because you actually have to think for two whole seconds in order to apply a graphic kit to it instead of being able to just copy/paste one on there.

Am I the only person finding this so amusing, especially since we're talking about "skinning" a bike? This just crack me up...

PS. If you don't feel like investing time into a texture, don't even bother starting one. Making a texture simply isn't a 5 minute job, and never will or should be.

Did you read Bonair's post AT ALL?

He took the time, for people just like you, to explain he was not complaining, simply stating his opinion.

What I find amusing is the continuous need for people to drag this off-topic, yeah I realise I'm doing the same now, but just to point out we should get back ON topic?

Well said, i agree with them in some ways that the cut out could be better, for instance the sideplates could be attached to the main plastic model etc but the whole fun of creating a graphics kit is lost if everybody can just copy and paste a design onto the cut out and also the model will never be accurate to a real bike considering they have to be as low detail as possible.

Agreed. Make do with what you get, in this case, a cutout that is not EXACTLY like a real bike graphic layout. Who gives a flying crap, MAKE A PLAN, you brainless toole!
