Gear and Rider Models not showing up!

I just got the full version and I have encountered a problem. I put bikes and tracks and all that in my personal folder (PNG and SAF) and they show up perfectly fine with no problems at all. But when I put rider models and gear they dont show up. The only thing I am getting is I downloaded ktm57's retro pack and in my gear selection, alpha comes up but when I use it doesn't show my rider, just a white helmet. So someone please help me.
Another thing... when you download helmet skins, how do you pick them in the game because you can only select rider gear, bike graphics and wheel graphics
