Norm Issues

Post by Jlillywhite23 »

Hello. I was skinning my own gear and I decided to test how well the norms will work in-game. I have one file named "rider_body-p2sta3-norm test", and one named "rider_body-p2sta3-norm test_norm". On the first file, was my skinned gear. On the _norm file, I had the norms. I put them both into my personal folder, and went to test it in game. When I used my gear, it didn't look like the norm was working. This is what it looked like:

I took the "rider_body-p2sta3-norm test" file out of the personal folder, and renamed the norm file to "rider_body-p2sta3-norm test" just to see if it was working. This is what it looked like:

Why is this happening? Why is there no wrinkles on my gear? They are separate files.

Please help.

the game detects the norm, if you go in te rider gear section and select the norm file it will look like that.

I was just testing to see if the norm worked. I have the gear named "rider_body-p2sta3-"skin name".png. The norm is named rider_body-p2sta3_norm. Why is the norm not showing on the gear when it should.

on the pictures you showed non of the normal maps work, so they are probably turned of in graphics settings. Use Shader Programs has to be YES. then restart the game and try again
