Wireless reciever died
Has anyone had the Xbox 360 controller receiver die? It was working and now it will not. Anyone know if there is a fix? dont want to spend the money on a new one.

That would NOT help due to the receiver is broke...NOT the controller. IT was working just fine and then i went to play later today and nadda. Controller turns on just fine.Mbutler183 wrote:The fix is to buy the new 360, built in wireless ftw.

Yea i don't think Butler read that throughly enough there. I guess your just going to have to buy another receiver or a wired 360 controller.

Re: Wireless reciever died
i had the same problem it seems that the thing is VERY sensitive to sudden changes in power, i once disconnected it from USB while the pc was still running(been doing that for ages and never had anything die on me) and suddenly it didn't work anymore.
I recommend just getting a wired controller, if you are not sitting too far away from your pc
