Just look at the pressure people put on each other NOT to post screenshots of Messiah's bike!
However, it's obvious that it just takes 1 tiny little slip up, 1 lapse in judgement, for some of these creators to get so POed about it.
I honestly understand where Messiah and Gio are coming from. They put their heart and soul into their work, and all they ask is that people respect their wishes (terms of release). And, again, 99% of the community does. Just one lapse of judgement...and the shit hits the fan again.
Gio, I do think you have over-reacted in the past (not in every case, just in a few cases), but I don't hate you and I do hope you come back one day. Your work was really really good, and you also had a spirit of commradere (sp??) that I'm not sure I've seen out of a top creator before.
Messiah, your work is top of the line, at a corperate level. Your also helpful (in fact, I'd say your true talent lies in teaching others). And most of all, respectful. There's a lot of sh1t that gets thrown your way, and you don't return fire very often.
As a community, we should respect these guy's wishes. It's tough though, because absolutely 100% of this community needs to respect those wishes - not just most of us.
I also think creator's need to take a realistic view of things. If you release any form of your work before its done, expect it to show up somewhere you don't want it. It's a given. A fact of life. If you REALLY don't want anything leaked, you HAVE to keep it to yourself. So when you see something leaked, try to temper your reaction a little bit - because the creator is partly to blame for it being leaked.
Now, that dosen't apply to Messiah's situation. Double D plunked Messiah's work right out of somewhere else. Messiah bears no responsibility for that. Double D has admitted his mistake, taken responsiblity, and done everything he could to help rectify the situation. He's acted like a man in doing so. He's earned my respect because of the way he's handled this.
Everyone else who knowingly leaves Messiash's model on their harddrive, man up and respect Messiah's wishes. He spent his time making it. It's his right to tell you what to do with it.
My point here, which I got away from
