What is sad, is that 99% of the community respects the creators wishes.

Just look at the pressure people put on each other NOT to post screenshots of Messiah's bike!

However, it's obvious that it just takes 1 tiny little slip up, 1 lapse in judgement, for some of these creators to get so POed about it.

I honestly understand where Messiah and Gio are coming from. They put their heart and soul into their work, and all they ask is that people respect their wishes (terms of release). And, again, 99% of the community does. Just one lapse of judgement...and the shit hits the fan again.

Gio, I do think you have over-reacted in the past (not in every case, just in a few cases), but I don't hate you and I do hope you come back one day. Your work was really really good, and you also had a spirit of commradere (sp??) that I'm not sure I've seen out of a top creator before.

Messiah, your work is top of the line, at a corperate level. Your also helpful (in fact, I'd say your true talent lies in teaching others). And most of all, respectful. There's a lot of sh1t that gets thrown your way, and you don't return fire very often.

As a community, we should respect these guy's wishes. It's tough though, because absolutely 100% of this community needs to respect those wishes - not just most of us.

I also think creator's need to take a realistic view of things. If you release any form of your work before its done, expect it to show up somewhere you don't want it. It's a given. A fact of life. If you REALLY don't want anything leaked, you HAVE to keep it to yourself. So when you see something leaked, try to temper your reaction a little bit - because the creator is partly to blame for it being leaked.

Now, that dosen't apply to Messiah's situation. Double D plunked Messiah's work right out of somewhere else. Messiah bears no responsibility for that. Double D has admitted his mistake, taken responsiblity, and done everything he could to help rectify the situation. He's acted like a man in doing so. He's earned my respect because of the way he's handled this.

Everyone else who knowingly leaves Messiash's model on their harddrive, man up and respect Messiah's wishes. He spent his time making it. It's his right to tell you what to do with it.

My point here, which I got away from  , was that guys like Gio and Messiah, please understand that 99% of of the community does respect their wishes. Perhaps it's the most visible and vocal 1% who dosen't, but there are a ton of guys who appriciate the things you guys do for us and we sure as heck don't mean to cause you any headaches. I especially see Messiah painting this whole community black because of the actions of a few. Make sure you look at us each as individuals....Jones sure as hell dosen't represent any of my opinions

If people still ripping, maybe someday nobody will make something to improve and develop mxs, just because they will be tired of getting stuff ripped just like happened to gio.
What everyone should say at this moment for the rippers is 'THANKS FOR SCREW IT UP!'

So sad... JLV can't end this ? If .saf files couldn't be opened by other than creator it shouldn't be safer ? No way to lock them with creator code ? (Don't have time to read all forum maybe there's a response already). So just come on and have fun online buddies. Peace !

just read the entire thread.
-alot of backstabbing going on, people are way too stuck up here anymore. back when i got involved in 07 this never went on.
-i personally am getting away from the community, theres just way too much fighting anymore. you guys are sooo tough over the internet. cool
-anywho. thank you to JLV for such an awesome game and to all of the creators that made my motocross gaming experience such an amazing one.
-truth be told if everyone got along this game would reach such great levels but. that doesnt happen so i dont have high hopes.
Peace to all.

This isn't a little slip up. The people who posted the screenshots did so to intentionally raise a fuss. That is disrespectful to me because it wastes my time, and to Messiah because they are stealing his work. Read the whole thread and it will be clear they knew what they were doing was wrong and they did it anyway.

I was going to wait until Messiah gave me a list before I started banning, but I've already had to clean up another one of Jones' messes today. He is not worth the trouble. I've permanently banned Jones221 and Atown_Ottowa.

Am I the only person not to have this model, probably because im not in with the xfire crew.
anyway i can think of about 10 people that if they were baned alot of this shit would not happen.

people need to respect the talent and skill that these creators have and stop tryin to be cool and the bad ass by posting pics of stolen work. Its the internet, if people like jones need to make themselves feel cool by having something there not suppose to for a game then i pity him,he sounds like a looser.

oh well rant over.

just hope some talented creators dont gt fed up with this dumb ass community and leave.

I find it funny how everyone uses Jones as an example for being the only guy to do this.
