Triple at Alcrest

Post by briangrant34 »

i have a question about the triple out of the second to last turn at Alcrest. How do you get enough speed to triple it? or was it meant to be singled then doubled? i have played this track hundreds of times. its the track i use to test and practice my skills on and i have never once tripled it. wondering if anyone has, and if so how? maybe my setup doesn't produce enough speed out of corners but i have tried every line and still cant get it!!!

You've got to get high on the berm early and stay high the whole time. Don't try and square up the turn, be as fluid as possible. Also, there is a crazy dip about 3/4 the way across the track (near the outside of the turn), avoid that. Either turn in early (but it's harder to clear it) or ride the berm the whole way staying toward the far outside. Make sure to gas it as hard as you can without spinning the wheel.

I hate that jump, especially on a 125 (which I ride as a matter of policy). I gave up tripling it long ago, and now I just double it then go single. That said, I do try to avoid that track altogether. :|

It's easy on both 250f and 125 cc's.. Prologue id have to dissagree on u there man, well the way i do it is ride the berm super high then lately square the berm off so im riding deadstraight to the littlest bit to the left on that Hole:) hold it tapped.

I single then double it most of the time, much faster than going double then single.

Thats the same way I do it and I can whip it. Whats really sick is seeing shack backflip it  I always go to the inside to avoid that little dip at the end of the berm.

on 250 it's fairly easy.
enter high an early into the berm as much throttle as possible. then turn down into the turn and don't follow the berm, if you follow the berm you will hit a little dip at the end of the berm. try to cut to the inside of that so that you are smooth along the entire corner and you should be able to make it.

you have to be smooth on the throttle. Don't try to clutch it and power out.
