Re: Replicating XGames!
Okay, so i just kind of made a mock-up of the jump:wheels1758 wrote: Basically we would need a single jump that could be duplicated 10 or so times. Each jump would have a step-up bar at a different height, and a single gate say 25ft from the takeoff. Then a small stadium could be put together that would house each of the jumps.

So if you had ten of these, would they be different tracks, since the stadium wouldn't be able to house them all in one? In that case, how would you make it flip to the next track on the list?
Also, what would you do if it was a tie breaker, and you had to go by the rule of moving the start gate back? I don't think that can be planned for. Unless you had another server with the same tracks, with the start gate moved back on all of them.
Since the bar can't be moved, you would have to make it so you crash when you hit it, no matter what. Unless you're going to watch the bar closely, to see if anyone slightly taps it.wheels1758 wrote:I could model the step up bar and make the collision files. I think if the bar has collision, if you tag it you will crash. Also, if you flat land, you will crash.

Put a start gate in front of the rider, do he sits between the gate and that barrier. Put that gate 25 feet or so from the takeoff. When you duplicate jump, you will duplicate the objects and everything as well. This puts the 25 foot high bar in front of gate 1. 26 ft in front of gate 2. 27 foot bar in front of gate 3...up to gate 10. Then, during competition, everyone is set to spectate. (This is the part im unsure about, if its possible.) The track marshall (me) will send the first rider to gate 1 and everyone will watch their 2 attempts. The track marshall will watch the bar to see if the rider hits. If they hit or crash, they scratch that try. you get 2 tries or you're out.
So:
We would only need 1 track, with 10 gates, and 10 step ups.
The riders would ride one at a time.
The track marshall would keep track of who moves on.
I think the two hardest parts of this setup are:
Number of participants. How would we cut it down to 10 or 5? Some sort of qualifiers maybe? Like, have a night or two for people to qualify and the top 10 get to go to the final?
Switching people around from spectate to ride. This means we would have to change the riders to spec, and the first rider to the gate...RESTART. then RESTART for run number 2. This would be okay if everyone's ping is relatively low, but if it takes 30 seconds to restart each time, the amount of competition time goes way up. We need to get this done in one shot i think.
Now, on to the tie-break. I could make a second track with the starts further back from the face in case we need to use them for the tie breaker. If it comes up, i could send out the file. If its not needed, I wouldn't upload it.
Whaddya think? Any questions?

It looks like Tim and wheels (But he is leaving) have the step up, but I could possibley put it all together? So we have the stadium?

Re: Replicating XGames!
Well thats a pretty good idea, we shouldnt do qualifiers for it though. We could probably just have signups, but reserved spots for Wheels,Me,Mx,Tim,MX196 and kawi.
thats 6 right there.

If Tim Ferry could make the jump and stuff, That would make it a lot more aesy. Then we dont need move 50 objects to do 1 jump. Tim?MotosBestFriend88 wrote:If, i was in charge efor FMX, Kawi for Whip, and who would be in charge of step-up? Wheels? Or you MX?

Ya. I would do that. And are you making the 2nd track? I can make the real one. With the gate further up.wheels1758 wrote:My idea is:TimFerry15 wrote:Okay, so i just kind of made a mock-up of the jump:
