Spec Maps/Reflections. As you can probably see in the below Reflex screen the spec map on the plastics looks pretty much exactly like real life. I've tried more times than i can count to try and replicate this look in mxs but I've decided it's not possible, since it always comes out with a yellow sort of tinge to everything and just isn't shiny enough. The shiny look on the helmets in Reflex looks almost perfect as well, but again isn't possible to replicate in mxs (not in my attempts anyway.) I think the spec map system needs to be updated to something more Reflex like and realistic, rather than the yellow glow we have currently.

On the subject of maps, ground normal maps would be sick to have. I remember seeing a post where jlv said it would be possible but using tangent space maps instead, which I would be fine with. I'm guessing it would work by each decal having its own normal map and everything is placed right over the decal. Not sure if it's possible but ground spec maps wouldn't go a miss either for replicating things like mud and surface water etc.
3:
Shadows: Obviously we need a rider shadow on the ground, but things like the rider arm casting a shadow over their body should be added as well. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that's real time ambient occlusion rendering (or I could be way off.) Would really help with environment shadows as well like objects and such.
4:
Animations: While I wouldn't like to see this game turn into Mva unleashed with set animated whips and so on, small animations like jerseys rippling in the wind and front and rear fender vibrating would really add to the whole experience. I'm sure there's more but I can't think of them right now.
5:
Collisions: Having solid bale collisions doesn't really do it for me, so I think it should be updated so they move when they get hit, but only a couple of metres or so, nothing like in mva where they fly and roll all over the place. Having collisons as spheres should also be changed to using triangles (I think, correct me if I'm wrong), it would be easier to make the collision files and make things easily rideable. While I saw ddmx's collison file maker it's still a bit complex for most mxs players, then again most mxs players don't make shit as it takes half a brain to get your head around some of the stuff. Rideable objects like over unders would really be the icing on the cake. I know one of the 2010 sx tracks has one but it seems really glitchy/laggy and i find myself getting stuck in it occasionally.
6:
Terrain Deformation: I know it's been suggested heaps but it's something we really need to get the proper simulator feel if you know what i mean. We already have erode but it's pretty average at doing its job. The deformation in reflex is a bit extreme, so something toned down would be pretty much bang on, as long as there's still that riding in soft dirt sort of feel to it.
Anyway, enough of going on about reflex, I hope you take these suggestions into consideration jlv and let me know what you think. Churr
