2011 SMA Supercross Team Event FORMAT?

Hey guys, i will host a supercross team race.

I'm looking for a nice format for the race. U can tell me suitable tracks here! The date will be after the supercross series!!!

I thought about few racing formats but i wanna hear how it should run with your view.

Well given most teams have about 5 people per team, I guess a good format or an dea would be.

All riders from each team will sign up.
* you can seperate them in heats so not everyone is in same heat, god forbid dxb with there 20 riders lol...
* from there top. 2 finishers from each team advances to main, leaving an LCQ for the final spot for each team member so it wouldn't be top 2 like normal sx races.

This will make for the top 3 from each team to fight it out for the sx.

If you was gunna do 1 main event race then u go by pts obviously whatever team has the most pts from each position earned by the riders will win...

If you're taking 3 guys, you should do a MXdN format of 3 motos. Say take the overall position as each rider's finishing position (rather than their position in their respective "class") and determine a winner from that!

Moto 1 : Rider 1 and 2 from each team.
Moto 2 : Rider 2 and 3 from each team.
Moto 3 : Rider 1 and 3 from each team.

6 scores for each team, drop the lowest 1. Add up the points(or positions) and declare a winner!

You could do "qualifying" to choose the riders from each team, but since it will be online, there will probably be only a select few teams that will have to select/qualify 3 riders to send. Hmm, maybe I can talk Sween into running one of these at a time that us USA'ers will be able to make it.

Good idea wheels, my idea was more on the qualifying level for each team, nit a great format for the main events, but u could use my format for qualifying for the teams, take dxb for instance u have like 12 riders or 11 I dunno, but it would be hard for them to just choose 2 riders. I dunno I like ur format for the main winners but mine for team qualifying...

3Vs3Vs3Vs3 race's? So that 4teams ride with 3riders at the same time the race. The best 2 teams will go trough to the next round.
And if the sign-up's aren't doing so well you can do 3vs3. A race with 6guys aint bad either.

U do realize scheeve that all the teams except no thrills or whatever has like at least 5 ppl on them, the more realistic way is to have qualifiers, of course it all depends on the sign ups, so sib43 u might wanna do that first before worrying with the format this way u can format it to the roster.....

teams decide who ride mx1, mx2, mx3 and then f.e. Team N&S Riders race against other team, team who get 2 wins go ahead. or something like this?

the bad thing is i wanna let riders race when a team has maybe 4 riders. hmmmm

It would be pretty fun with qualifying and stuff. Like one day qualifying race and the next day real race or something like that you know.

Exactly what wheels, myself, kawa said. For let's says saturday,( or any day ) you have the qualifying, let's says fsk, all members wanna race, it wouldn't be right to choose. Which goes , so that is where qualifying comes in, obviously u want all teams to participate, so u can seperate all teams into heats mix em up.

Example: heat 1:have 2 or 3 members of each team
Heat 2: 2 or 3 of the rest of the team also do this for the rest of the teams.

Top 2 best finishers from each team advances.

The rest who were not top 2 of each team goes to lcq where the best finisher from each team advances to main event. As in say u have 4 teams, but have 20 ppl in lcq then top 4 gets the gold ticket to main.

Here is where wheels ( mxon idea ) comes in from there the teams can decide who is mx1,2,3 etc. And run your races mxon style from that point on... Case solved.

Do's that matter? In that way you're sure that all teams will send riders on raceday. Because even tho there are 10riders in one team. Still is it possible that only 4 or 5guys are availble on that day.

And on TrackMania NAtions Forever wich I played on a pretty big level (until the financial crises striked) you also have teams of 7-8riders. But the most famous format was 3vs3. Then there are no reasons to delay the race bacause there are to less riders. And if you have a pretty big team you can send the best 3riders.

Soccer clubs also have more then 30players. But on sunday are there are only 11playing.
