I've been thinking a long time about how we could solve the problem with the huge pile-ups in the first corner.
In real life you can bang some bars and use your whole body to keep in on 2wheels, in mxsimulator is that not rly possible.
So I came up with an idea to make starts harder so it would be less often that we go to the first corner with 5wide or something like that.
Maybe can JLV make something in his next version of mxsimulator that looks like a balance meter in skate game's.
When you make a grind you have to keep your balance to go as fast as you can and as long as you can. In mx is it the same. You need to keep your balance at the start to put all the power you have on the ground.
In the movie you can see from 1:00 that balance meter above the character.

Re: Making starts harder!
hah would be hella wierd.
just thinking about it, could you make it so that if you come in contact with riders your stability rises +50 within the first 2 timing gates on the 1st lap?

Re: Making starts harder!
It's not the realistic first turn bar banging that's causing the pile ups. It's the 13 year old trying to go from 15th to 3rd in the first corner...

Doing it sensibly however...Devils Advocate wrote:The start is the only place where you can pass 40 riders in one straightaway and corner.
I know when I bang bars with someone in real life, I make a much tighter grip with my knees and hands. As was imposed a while ago where in rough situations the steering dampening increases (or something like that), I'd say that upon contact either stability should increase for a split moment or the steering dampening should increase.

Yea, you can only pass 39 other people. Quoting Mike Alessi isn't the smartest thing you can do DD....
I can bump and rub with other riders in the first corner on MXS and get away with it. I'll say it again, the crashes have more to do with lag, and railroading, than they do with the stability of the bike.
