Blackops lag

Does any one know how to get rid of the lag in black ops. Getting sick and tired off this game think i'm gonna buy bad company 2

knowing a lot about computers doesn't mean we know why you have lag playing some random game.

usual causes of lag:
Slow internet connection, Downloading and/or lots of crap on your pc (mallware/spyware etc.)

if it's specific to COD then there isn't much I can say.
