New computer help.
Ok so basically the screen on my old laptop broke and Im kinda looking for a new one but know absolutely nothing about computers. I was wondering if this was a good all around lap top. I only play MXS as far as computer games go.

Re: New computer help.
If you don't need a laptop, for games I'd get a desktop from them. I got a killer deal on one a couple weeks ago on Black Friday. But it sounds like you won't need the use of a desktop to play just MX Simulator.

I'm willing to spend just up around that price. At most around $1000.

Well for MX Simulator, you'll need a good processor and 8 GB's of RAM. That one computer you had there is good, but I would get the better Graphics Card.Mescher377 wrote:I'm willing to spend just up around that price. At most around $1000.

So the computer would be good but get the best graphics card it offers. In this case the one that is adding $75?

The computer you linked is terrible for that price. Do you have to have a laptop? or can it be a desktop?

Re: New computer help.
Well my family has a desktop but it's pretty terrible. So I was just looking at laptops just to see what I can find.

You should get a desktop. Cheaper and easier to upgrade.

Re: New computer help.
8gb's of ram or more
3ghz cpu or more (at least quad core)
1 gb graphics card or more
and at least a 600w power supply
Since you don't know anything about computers just buy it already built with at least those specs. If you learn your stuff and build it yourself you will save a lot of money.

No problem. By the way if you limit is $1000 then you can build one that is much better than what i posted. I just built one with those specs and i only spent $600. Just do your research, its worth it, as well as a pain in the ass!

HD5650 (or higher) or a GeForce 9600 (Or higher).
Whatever power supply the company puts in the thing, whatever power calc tells u if you're building custom.
