Shaders *HELP*
I know this may sound like a stupid question, but how do I activate shaders? I've asked, but the information I recieved didn't work. If you have any tips or instructions please respond. Thanks

Ok, I went to run the snapshot for Windows, and it said "can't find game data"

Don't install that. It's older than 1.8. He was just directing you to the instructions in that post. The easy way is to select normal or high detail in the graphics menu and restart the game.

Jlv,
I put the graphics on high detail and shaders direct, and it made the dirt have like checkerboard and like a carbon fiber look to it, everything else didn't do anything.

Re: Shaders *HELP*
Would it be "Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator Driver"?

I don't think the Intel GMA series supports GLSL shaders.

Re: Shaders *HELP*
Is there a cheap graphics card that supports the shaders? That you would recommend?

Re: Shaders *HELP*
Pretty much anything new will support them. For decent speed I'd go with at least a GT640.
