I don't recall JLV ever saying that pumer. He has said they're not necessarily in order, he thinks, but to me they seem to go in the right order. Obviously 9yr old August wasn't on the forums, but he's a spoiled little brat, so i can picture his parents buying it for him without hesitation. Everyone with a UID lower than mine says they purchased before me, and I don't think I preordered. I waited until it was released because I didn't want JLV to hose me out of $42. Still waiting to get my money's worth.....

In that case me and DJ would be 2 and 3, DJ found the snapshot with multiplayer before jlv posted it on the forums by manually typing the link to it in the browser

Early multiplayer didn't require a UID. Remember how many people stopped playing online once UIDs were required?

Nope. Took me a couple days to figure out how to connect to the servers.
