Re: Upcoming Models #2
Here it is with a wireframe, couldn't figure out how to do that at first but I got'r done. Again this is my first frame so don't be too hard
Re: Upcoming Models #2
the tubes are way too highpoly, it can go with 12-16 sides and will look pretty much the same. Not sure how to change the number of sides of cylinder in blender, but i'm sure there is that possibility
Re: Upcoming Models #2
Also you don't need the triangles in the front of the frame, delete those, they will only cause headaches with the high poly.

Re: Upcoming Models #2
Here's an example to help you understand how cylinders work in 3D programs:
Looking from the side every cylinder looks obviously pretty much the same, you cant really judge a difference when a texture is applied later ingame.
When it comes to the top of a cylinder its the opposite, now its obvious that the cylinder isnt a perfect circle, the edges are clearly visible.
However, even when you see both viewports you see a nice looking pipe, but also how many edges the cylinder has...
In your case, i think 6-8 is the way to go. I hope this helps you understand this whole cylinder thing a bit better

Keep in mind the smaller the tube in diameter the less you'll notice the top view. You should be good with 8, like Andy stated.

Re: Upcoming Models #2
I went with 8 on this one, thanks andy for putting that together and I got rid of the triangles in the front. I forgot to lower the number of sides on the cylinder that's above where the engine is supposed to be in these pictures.
Should I continue with this frame or start over? Thanks for the feedback and tips

Andy released his KXF for free.
This is a block of text that can be added to posts you make. There is a 255 character limit.

Re: Upcoming Models #2
I am aware of this, just distinguishing if you wanted the template and blend you would have to pay or atleast thats how it is for most people.frankie wrote:Its better then nothingRacers52 wrote:Not the full template and blendKTM57 wrote:Andy released his KXF for free.
Re: Upcoming Models #2
I have a plan of how I will release it... it does not involve anyone paying for it.
