Downloading now. Hopefully the terrain deformation and enduro track is fun. Thanks Havoc

Re: MX Bikes demo
Bike feels pretty stable once you get moving. Physics feel slightly better until you get in the air.... Its improving slowly

Re: MX Bikes demo
anyone else feels like the bike bounces around to much? and the steering ..just.. terrible... it's so hard to get back moving when you crash, especially uphill...
ah well not gonna touch it anymore untill beta 4

However, we thought it would be a good idea, after five months of wait, to release a "snapshot" of development to:
- let you test all the new features and changes
- collect feedback
- allow modders to use the tracks created with the latest tools
From now on, having completed the biggest tasks ( that were the dynamic track surface and wet terrain ), you can expect more frequent updates.

Re: MX Bikes demo
Yeah I agree. He's spending too much time on making the game look good and have cool features but overall it is nearly impossible to play. I'm washing out going down a straight away!
Re: MX Bikes demo
The sooner he realizes his problems aren't physics related but control related the better. The virtual rider will never be smart enough for motocross.

Re: MX Bikes demo
Phat and I don't always agree but when he is right he is right. Whatever happens between me moving the stick and the stupid rider adjusting the bars is killing MXB for me. I have to say that it seems to have gotten worse, combine that with the new stalling "feature"and I can't bear to ride more than a few laps.
I think some dampening on the physical bike inputs would do a lot to "tame" the "headshake" that the game currently has. I do think that the turning needs to be sped up somehow, I still feel like the back of the bike is too locked in and you cant rotate like you should be able to.

Re: MX Bikes demo
They need someone that they trust that actually races or even rides motorcycles to tell them whats up.

An epic Phat response...

The vision is:
- keep improving physics to make it more realistic ( especially suspensions and tyres )
- improve the virtual rider
- add optional helpers to make the simulator more accessible
- add the possibility of helpers for those that prefer direct steer control[/quote]

Re: MX Bikes demo
I saw that last part yesterday, hopefully he makes it somewhat fun since I already bought it. I will say the deformation is actually decent but the riding is utter crap.
Re: MX Bikes demo
The rider movements (minus twisting the throttle) looks really nice, though. Would be cool to have some movement like that on MXS.
