So to get back on topic, because this forum is lately just bunch of treads full of the same discussion... here is alpha version of my Thor verge model for you, so you can check out the size and proportions and tell me if the model is alright. If so i will finish up the visor/add goggles, new face and start unwrapping. Would be great to get some feedback from somebody who has this helmet irl I don't want it to end up same as the Airoh.

remeber, its just alpha stage to see the proportions/size so don't expect much from it!

Thanks in advance!

Here is a update on the shoei model and the yamaha
Shoei will be public released when it is done.. i need to mess with the visor some more and get that to where i am happy with it..
Dont mind the bolts on the bike they are just there for testing purposes on sizing n shit they are not in the correct place and all that xD but ya the current status of the bike.. i will be releaseing a stock version with that when its done.

LMAO

It does look insane Jay. Good job.

Question for you, and anyone else making new bikes (Mason)... Have you guys considered making different LODs? I'm not saying that I assume your new bikes are any higher in geometry than say any of the older models but it doesn't mean that its not a good idea to have different LODs anyways. Right? Or do you guys not agree? Or maybe you have already done this or considered doing it before release/sale.

10x more not so much... But higher? Forsure. My model, and by the looks of it, Jays models are much more detailed than the older ones. I may not know when to stop with that part...

It's funny you bring up LODS. Peter and I were discussing this yesterday.. Upon testing (mostly Peter), for some reason we had MORE issues with the LOD system then we did with none at all... Frame rate bounces way to much when they change different levels. Not sure why honestly. We were having major problems with Indiana so we did testing on it, Peter has a more than exceptional PC and so do I so we thought it was pretty ridiculous that it bogged our computers. The LODS for the trees seemed to be the issue.

That and when I load a base track (no decals, objects, etc) and my texture memory is slmost 1500mb something is wrong performance wise somewhere. Not really sure what I'm going to do with my Honda on that aspect.

What Indiana? The latest one has no LODs on the trees. :?

A few years ago Barrington and I did some testing with stake LODs and it made virtually no difference even with blank JMs. Obviously there isn't much to a stake but I figured since there were so many of them it would make a difference but maybe the distance checking takes up extra horsepower or something? I have noticed that after 1 lap everything smooths up, I am guess that once everything is "situated" there is less processing to do somehow but I really don't know that much about it.
