I believe you mean you have video clips of Justin Barcia riding past you.

you don't need protection if you don't crash
and yea I wear boots, helmet, goggles, gloves, and leatt no matter what, but I will gladly take a few extra scratches on the arms if it means not having a heat stroke.
if you dont crash you arent riding hard enough lol...and i always wear everything id rather not kill myself lol. just cut holes in your jersey it helps alot. and not to sound like yall dad, but if you have a hjc helmet trash it, really. the only helmets that are really going to protect you are shoei, arai, and bell..the rest are just crap that just make the standards. dont mention fox or one, cause hjc makes both of them. i used to get fox stuff half off and crashed with 2 brand new helmets and had a concusion and didnt remeber a thing, now i ride with arai and i had a hard crash on a high speed tripple not to long ago and slammed head first, thanks to my leatt and my arai i got up unhurt at all, though my bike was totaled lol..so once again not telling anyone what to do..just saying that safety is definately important
we had a disscusion about this and if you think that if you dont crash all the time your not going fast enough then you an idiot
and about the helmets what about thor and im pretty sure the fox is one of the most protecting helmets you probably just hit different

ok this discussion took place like 2 weeks ago so why bring it back up? Also, I feel like if you are not laying the bike down every once in a while then you are probably not pushing yourself. If you don't want to improve and are fine with the speed you are at then thats fine but If you don't pust yourself a little harder then you will never get any better. Pushing yourself means you will go down. That's just the way it is.
and by the way, neither of us ever said we didn't wear protection when practicing. We just don't always wear jersey and pants. When I am on my practice track I very very rarely wear more than a t-shirt and sweatpants.

i didnt sAy you had to crash all the time to get faster, i said if you never craSh you wont get faster. thats plain and simple if you not pushing you wont crash. and thor helmets still just meet the dot conditions. why do you think that shoei bell and arai costs so much more? they go through alot more tests and are much safer helmets. when a pro rider (broc hepler) wears an arai with a hjc sticker over it because hjc did him no good in a crash..its kind of proof. and if fox was such a protecting helmet maybe the fox riders would wear that instead of shoei
I actually wear a No fear helmet, although I know they outsource as well I just cant remember who from, but I'm very happy with them. I had a rough getoff first of the year and the helmet split where I hit, and if you don't know, it's good when the helmet cracks. That means the helmet has soaked up alot of the energy from the crash. You don't want it to bust off of your head obviously, but you want a helmet that won't transfer all of that energy directly to your head. I have also heard that the MSR helmets do a good job of protecting you. I have also heard that the fox helmets were very rigid and do not soak up the impact very well.

im not putting down all brands..i just know from experience hjc is the worst and fox and one arent much better lol. and yes cracking is good but it shouldnt shatter so much your head hits the ground after the shatter lol
