Where the fuck was I? You side ways answered my questions in this thread but ignored my other attempts. I'll respond though.

Speaking for myself, I make bad ass stuff for myself and could give to shits if your old windows xp computer ever see's my work. I really could care less, the end user doesn't break me, the creators provided things for the end user. If the end user screws the creator they break themselves, because the creators will start to withhold their content or sell it. Which as happened in this community, like I warned so long ago.

Who else would get the content? Another question answer... but none less entitlement at it's finest. Why does anyone have to get it? Granted other creators have the reasoning of making content, but every creator I'm good friends with never makes anything with the intention on it going to anyone. They make it to improve their skills, challenge themselves, and making something that they want.

The creator that gives away content trusting the word of a virtual stranger is in fault. Right... keyword "give". See it was give, and everything was based on this trust, now everything is private or for sale because that trust was ruined. So who's fault is it again for no new public content? Still the creators?

Keep in mind the majority of those are not even functional within a video game engine. Just because you don't find it reasonable doesn't mean that in today's world, it isn't. ok so since many of you can't or simply don't want to understand that complete a project of this size is more complicated and time consuming than just sit there complaining and bugging us asking to be released, why don't you pay us?

Back then the community was 100% smaller and more tight knit, not only that, but projects were group projects with a lot of talent. Makes things a bit easier.. now you just can't trust anyone. People throw out all these names but always seem to forget why most of them left... Here I am comparing then to now. Back then things were in groups, the community was smaller scale, and things were tight knit. For every 10 good members back then there is now 5, and for every 1 bad member there are now 10. EVEN THEN there was still issues, and I was trying to show that most of it is the reason why a lot of great talent adios-ed out of contributing for the community. So calling it "great" is really contradicting

So Mason is saying that because creators trusted some random kid on the internet to not freely distribute their content they now charge for it. Punish the end user for poor the creators judgement.

What I didn't get with your comment is how you think it can be the creators fault. Poor judgment yes, but their trust was in the end user and it's because of the end user that ruined the trust, so of-fucking-course they are going to punish them! Are you really that stupid? If creator X makes something for end users in community Y, and community Y takes them for granted and screws them sideways, is creator X going to just keep contributing to community Y? Then they have the audacity to say "well it's your fault for trusting us". No they won't. They are going to tell you to fuck off by either holding the content private, or they will hold it private and sell it.

Really the community has brought it upon themselves, all of it.
