2014 AMA Supercross Discussion

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

Think about that for a second. You're telling somebody who rides a motorcycle for a living to not to his job so that he'll be able to do his job.

Hes 9 points from second and only 6 or something away from 4th, there is probably a big difference in money between a possible 2nd and 4th in the championship.

Saw that. Should be interesting. He did pretty good filling in for PC that one year.

Few really know the sacrifices Pro racers make. Not just the obvious stuff, but behind the scenes stuff that really affects their lives. All of the guys on the line deserve respect.

People rip on guys like Stewart and Dungey even worse, I know RV gets some hate, admittedly some from me once in while, but so does every other top pro. The same people that get angry when RV gets ripped on would rip on guys like Stewart in a second. None of these guys deserve to be ripped on for what they do, no matter who they are. Now ripping on them for their personality, thats another thing, but the way people Rip on guys like Stewart for "crashing to much" or even cheer for it to happen to him, or on RV for "making the championships boring", or even the way people thrive on Dungey struggling like he has been these past couple of sx seasons, that upsets me.

Im not an RV fan, but I would never wish for something bad to happen to him, I only get mad about him winning when he finishes ahead of my favorite riders or something happens to someone I think would have beat him, but I would not say he "makes it boring" or "I hope he gets hurt". That's not right to do to any rider.

Bower's forgot to mention throw away education like college; no time for that.

Most of the time, the ripping is baseless and it's just a fanboy lashing out at all comers. I mean, J-Law is the best out there, hands down.

Yes, true, but it still bothers me for some reason, like I would never just tear them up the way some of these fans do, no matter who you are talking about. Personally, I don't really like RV that much as a person, but I would never say "oh I hope he gets hurt so he can't win anymore", or any of that kind of stuff, just because my favorite riders like Dungey or Stewart aren't winning the championship. Anything I say against any of them usually has to do with how I feel about them personality wise, not because I actually want them to fail in racing or get hurt, or anything like that.

Guys like Dungey and Stewart just get torn apart now, especially by these internet form warriors who will never be half as talented as he is. Its even worse when you go to a national (last summer, unadilla) and have some bucktoothed old asshole with teeth missing who looks like he has never even ridden a bike saying how Dungey sucks and can't win anything. (ended up cussing him out at the end of the day after listening to it for 3 hours straight, best feeling of my life to watch him instantly shrink away and shut up.) People just have no respect for how hard these guys go year round or an understanding for how much it sucks to do all that and still not win. Lack of respect is just incredible sometimes.

Well rv did not look at all that excited when he won the championship last week.. He kinda had that "been there done that" face on him  normally a rider would go absolutely nuts if he won the most prestigious championship in his sport.
