Not being able to connect to private server

ive ran private severs with just me and one other friend and it used to work all the time, but recently i am unable to join my own. it just keeps saying contacting server... does any one know how to fix this problem

What ip are you trying to join on?

Check the IP in your forwarding rule. If your router gave you a different address you'll have to update the rule.

For most home internet services you need to forward UDP port 19800 to the server for it to work. It's in your router's setup.

okay ive tried every thing, ive contacted frontier customer service, tried forwarding the port myself and nothing is working, my router is a frontier f2250. any other suggestions?

I used to use hamachi logmein to do private servers. Worked fine.
