Re: Post your old quotes, references, memories etc that new players won't understand

This thread is some serious throwback, love it. Agree with everything said so far. Remember when we first got multiplayer and said goodbye to demo racing. Mikey, DJ, and goardy teaching is all Australian slang. Crazy how many advances in the game after 13 or so years. No object collision was another...

Temp Disable Auto-Rotation on Fall

Would it be feasible to add in logic on a crash such that after you've held the reverse button for a specified duration of time the game would temporarily disable the auto-rotation towards the next gate? This would then reset until the next crash. Reason being, I'll hold the reverse button to cancel...

Re: A clear film across the goggles that you can peel away when necessary

A few years back I tried to create a wrapper application that did just this. I actually got it working fairly well but it didn't "handshake" with the game at all. Meaning, even if you were standing still or had no one in front of you it would still populate the screen. Maybe someone with a...

Re: 2016 SX Discussion

I'm sure it's been discussed before but as I'm sitting here watching Santa Clara I can't help but think how poor the track design is. There is a definitely lack of technicality in the design and as a result it seems to be a one lined track. Do politics get involved? What are your thoughts on the sub...

It's about time that I go and search for that 1.0 installer again. Great to see the updates still continuing to roll in all the years later! Keep up the incredible work JLV.

Re: 290cc Big Bore Kit

So just thinking out loud here... Larger piston will have more mass which is going to equate to larger forces on the crank, rod, bearings, etc... Not sure that means you need to get an aftermarket crank or not though but it wouldn't hurt to look at suggestions. For reliability, that's the first thin...

Re: The Math behind Internal Combustion

Before we go all physics and waste our energy... to what level of detail are you trying to model this engine? If you're trying to capture all the effects of friction, intertia, losses, etc.. This can (and will) get very complicated quite quickly.
