What I do not understand is that the shapes that are directly in your face seem low poly. And the objects that do not draw any attention at all are high poly.
You might want to swap this around.

Hey mx team, nice job so far! Looks great...I was wondering if I can help skin it?

Re: Upcoming Models
i dont understand why you want low poly , polys are not important , if the bike work correctly in the game !MessiaH wrote:Mhmm.mx team 24120 wrote:hum , iam sorry , i cant translate your text and i have dont understand

Re: Upcoming Models
luiz that looks good, and if you can you should put "honda" on that side crank case or whatever.
Re: Upcoming Models
You clearly did not understand what I've told you.mx team 24120 wrote:i dont understand why you want low poly , polys are not important , if the bike work correctly in the game !
I was not telling you to make a low polygon bike, at all.
What I told you is this: your polygon distribution and efficiency throughout the bike is completely off.
What does this mean?
Parts such a the shrouds, seat, frame, side panel, rear fender, have no detail what so ever. No folds or curves, not even the hole in the shroud. These could be, and should be modeled in. Simple due to the fact that these parts are visible 100% of the time playing.
Then I look at your rear suspension for example and find a overload on polygons. Polygons that are only visible 25% of the time playing. I find this a waste of polygons. You should use those wasted polygons on parts such as the earlier mentioned parts instead.

Re: Upcoming Models
hum, ok , can you tell me the parts who will be not detailled and the parts who i must detailled ? thx
Re: Upcoming Models
Stuff that is seen should be high poly
Stuff that shouldn't be high poly is the stuff that isnt seen. Rear shock, internals etc... bit of common sense
Etc...MessiaH wrote: Parts such a the shrouds, seat, frame, side panel, rear fender

Re: Upcoming Models
This is kinda off topic, I'm making the parts now, but if they all come too high poly what should i do to get them lower? I done with the shock and i thikn its good, the springs missing :S But motor is still only low poly, can someone send me like a sample model wich is low poly engine, or only the engine pic without skins, i want to see what parts are must be on the model, what are not.
