I made this Redbull Arch tonight. I thought it came out excellent.
Here is some info:
Triangle count: 468
Colour and normal map resolution: 2048x1024.
Uses model defined specularity, and reflections.
Sample statues code:
[xxx 1.0 zzz] 0 @rbarch.jm @rbarch.png @rbarch.shp

Looks good, but why the outrageous resolution?

Its not that outrageous. It is quite a large object, and one that is right on the track, so you do see it up close. Besides, if it was a resolution lower, it would look shithouse if the graphic settings was set to 9, because that would make it 512x256.

I would have thought you could get away with a very low res normal map since it doesn't have any hard edges. Looks great though.
