I'm not sure that it really fits the thread,but this is probably my best piece of work in Photoshop.

make sure the shading is uniform. the dark shadows need to flow from one section to the next.

Well,it all works out in game. The left side is the part that connects back to the normal pipe so I thought what I did looked better then the other shading continuing through.

sorry but that shading is awful. make something that looks real don't do the same thing on each side...

hmm, didnt know its 4 shadet now days, IMO
maybe two like biger ones, one for the part that is covered by plastics (if not compleately covered, dont shade it compleately, highligth the top part that shows)
and under the pipe shading...
