I think if you feather a little gas it helps rather than just coasting.

try to lean the opposite way when you get over to far

don't hammer the throttle while you are way leaned over

note that I suck so my advice probably isnt great

i dont know how the keyboard guys do it...i couldnt imagine using the keyboard! ive got an xbox 360 controller and it works great. on flat turns you want to have the gas on just a little and when youre coming out of the turn try to powerslide a little, and countersteer to help you keep control.

ive been playing for about a month now, and im still horrible at SX. but im coming to grips with outdoors. i find it takes finesse and constant adjustments to your body position and handlebar inputs to go fast. when i get it right its great, but when it goes wrong it goes really wrong. just stick with it, its too much fun!

I learned to play this game on the keyboard and it's super hard but it is possible. But I would suggest spending the $30 or $40 on the Logitech PS3 style controller. It will seem even harder with a controller for the first few days but then when your realize you can be 1/2 or 1/4 trottle though a corner it makes it so much more enjoyable. Do not buy cheap Chinese knock offs as they don't have much more control than the keyboard. I speak from experience.

I was having same problems with flat turns in the beginning but as others said, you need to go slow, but still with some gas, (just hitting gas keyboard) and it helps a alot

Ey dude. I use a keyboard to and its not easy. But here is just a average lap to help you with throttle control. Hope it helps.
