Connecting to server

Post by MXJProductions »

Ok so I have this issue ATM. I can connect to any other server, except the one I use the most mxsimpits.net server ( racing.mxsimpits.com ) however it will not let me connect just says contact server, but again I can connect perfect with others. I make sure I spelled correctly etc. This may be the cause but does not make sense why it works with one, and not the other. When I connect straight to the main modem ( internet ). it works great, however when Connect from the Wireless router , which is hooked up to the main router, it does not work, but still connects to the rest. What can be cause this issue? any help is great thanx in advanced.

I'd set up the wireless router as an access point and let the main router handle the routing/NAT.

It's different for each router. For the one I have there's a physical switch on the router and you can also log in to the router and change it there.

There's a guide here. Seems more complicated than it needs to be though. All I had to do was change the wireless router from router mode to access point mode on my network.

I'm not sure about that. It probably depends on which port number the router assigns to you when it does its net address translation (NAT).
