Hi there. Ive been having this problem for a while now, and havent yet found a way to fix it. When I attempt to connect to a server (lets use 19802 as an example), I get to the loading screen where it says "contacting server" in the top left corner, and it freezes like that. I can still move the mouse around, but when I try to open Task manager (CTRL-SHIFT-ESC), it shows my cursor is loading (win7), and then the cursor goes back to normal. I left my computer on for 2 hours seeing if it was actually frozen or not, and it was indeed frozen. I have tried multiple methods at fixing the problem, but none have worked so far. Heres what I have tried:
Turning off avg - doesent work
Uninstalling avg - doesent work
re-installing MXsimulator - doesent work
deleting personal folder, and re downloading skins, tracks etc - doesent work
Re entering REG key - doesent work
Trying to use an older snapshot - doesent work
tried a different server - doesent work
tried connecting to a server Via http://mxsimulator.com/servers/ - doesent work
I have tried almost everything I can think of, but nothing seems to work. Im getting quite annoyed, as I would once again like to play online, like I did before I did A system restore to factory defaults.
Multiplayer problem

Does it ever freeze in single player?

Try reinstalling your motherboard/network drivers.

I dont even know where to look for them. im using a laptop, so I have NO IDEA what kind of board this uses. Its a gateway NV53, 4gb ram, 500gb HDD, 2.x Ghz AMD athlon II dual core, ATI radeon HD 4200 Mobility graphics card. It worked online perfectly fine before. where should I look for the drivers?jlv wrote:Try reinstalling your motherboard/network drivers.

Re: Multiplayer problem
Try the lan drivers. Lan = Local area network

Re: Multiplayer problem
I got it! It wasnt my drivers. I guess I didnt try it with AVG off. I was fooling around with my settings and left it on windowed, and I guess when I went to go play online with it in ____x___ , avg was poping up a grant access to internet box. Thanks anyways JLV, your always a great help!
