Well, naturally?
Heavier bike, and since there's the connection with static friction and the particle's (bike in our case) weight with F=uN where F is friction force, u is friction coefficient and N is the normal force exerted by the bike's mass, which is N=mg (m = mass, g = gravity).

ah so you'r greek? iknow its heavier but sometimes its gripping more then it should, go and powerslide with a 450 then jump on the 250 and feel the difference and you will hopefully understand what im talking abuut.
Re: 2011-11-17 snapshot
Sure you meant geek, not greek?
Made a little mistake, should've said dry friction, not static friction.
Static friction is only part of dry friction, with the other part being kinetic friction (when the surfaces move in relation to one another, for example when the tire starts to slide), that is described with a similar equation as the static one, the friction coefficient in kinetic friction's equation is just smaller than the static's coefficient. It still has the connection with the bike's mass through normal force, so a 450 still develops more friction during powerslide than a 250f.

Wait, does MXS take in like, rider weight? Like is the rider weight on the 450 more than the 250? Also, if there is rider weight, can someone tell me what it is for the 450F?

Re: 2011-11-17 snapshot
The rider weight should be 150 pounds for all of the bikes.

Can someone put a download up for the models? Phathry's model download is invalid or deleted.

Really guys? Really? God damn, just put this in the main post, no one even bothers to take a daring attempt at looking.James Cryer wrote:Sucks how no one is capable of using the search bar for the thread. Re: 2011-11-17 snapshot
OK, after many hours on the 450, I have some questions. These are more "I'm not sure" type questions, so here goes.
1. Why does the 450 fall over so easily when hitting braking bumps and such? The rider goes into gimp mode way to easily to me. Yes, I've tried all forms of suspension/rider settings to correct it.
2. Why does the suspension buck so erratically even with rebound settings turned all the way up?
3. Why, with there only being about 10 pounds actual difference from the 250's, do these bikes feel like tanks?
4. Will the 250's ever be reworked to handle the track as smoothly as they should compared to the 450's? As it is now, the smaller bikes get bent out of shape way to easily in comparison to the 450's.
5. When will you be releasing the 250 smokers?
Not sure if anyone else is experiencing any of the issues I mentioned, so hopefully I'm not sounding like a fruit cake here.

You contradicted yourself in the same post. At first the 450's fall over easily, and buck erratically. Later in the post you ask when the 250's will handle the bumps better like the 450. Not looking like a fruit cake failed...
I'm not 100% on the actual weight difference in the game, even if it is only 10LBS you also have to factor in the extra inertia added by a much heavier crank on the 450's.

The rider on the 450 is 175 and the 250 is 150. Makes sense. Chad Reed weighs about 170, Justin Barcia weighs 140.The Conman wrote:Wait, does MXS take in like, rider weight?
