Changes:
  • Gate count is now saved in track info files.
  • Lowered suspension max speeds to prevent instability with maxed out damping.
  • Models can now have unlit materials.
  • Now remembers last track selected.
  • Bike selection menu.
  • Faster roost test.

Linux users: http://mxsimulator.com/snapshots/mxbin-2011-12-21

Replace mx.exe or mxbin with one of the above files. The default location for mx.exe should be "C:\Program Files\MX Simulator". I'd keep a backup of the originals since these aren't well tested.

You will also need to unzip this file somewhere where MX Sim can find it. Either the install folder or personal folder will work. zzzutestzy.saf and zzzutestzz.saf are no longer required.

I haven't updated the jm export script for the unlit materials yet, but you can hand edit them for now. For the material line use "-2 <a> <r> <g> <b>". As an example here's the video screen I'm using for the supercross tracks -

Code: Select all

JM1
-2.000000 1.000000 1.000000 1.000000 1.000000
4 2
-47.222309 69.444374 0.000060 0.000000 0.000000 1.000000 0.000000 1.000000
-47.222248 16.319374 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 1.000000 0.000001 0.000000

roost seems to have a way better improvement with multiple riders, well atleast 8 riders with max roost didnt seem to have that bad of a sluggish feel.

Just to be sure, that last file in the post is from the last snapshot and you just forgot to take that part out, correct? Thanks a lot for all the improvements.

I wanted it in there just in case I add an HDR bloom effect during the SX season. Even without bloom it makes the stadium video screens look better.
