TECH QUESTION

Post by Darrin70 »

Hey guys, just got the full version..... :D I have been playing with the Demo for abit with no issues...but with the full version I get a cracking sound then the screen freezes for a fraction of a second what could this be? Oh yeh and why with a game that is running would the screen saver start, I just shut the screen saver off, but was wondering why it would happen with a executable program running?

Thanks Darrin

The latest version disables the screensaver. For the sound it's possible another process started up and prevented MX Sim from getting enough CPU time to keep the audio buffer full.

I've found that MXS will "hitch" like that occasionally if I've used Win+D too much to switch between programs. My solution is to just quit MXS and start it back up, works fine.

Now, I've actually got a somewhat similar question and because this thread is so young I'd hate to have to make a new one. For some strange reason, I've been having trouble with some tracks. When I first tried to load up Donnington, the fps was (and this is the real number) 0.2fps. Weird! I tried it again later, and it worked brilliantly! Now I can't seem to get The Farm AX rd.1 to work, with the same problem. Any suggestions as to what this could be? All the other tracks are running 30fps+ with six riders.
