MXS For Xbox or PS3

We already do that! We use Ventrilo. Ithe rest of the Vent regulars don't mind I can give you the ip and port...

Learn more about computers, they are way more powerful and useful than xbox or ps3...

I believe MXS would have to be optimized for the console, which im sure would take quite a long time.

I read that xbox/ps3 really don't have very nice components, they're just able to have really good graphics because the games are coded specifically to work with those components. I mean, if you took the GFX card from your xbox and threw it in your computer (which Im sure wont work, because I think the XBOX has onboard graphics) it wouldn't run MXS. Its something comparable to a GT 7800 I think.

correct...people always say consoles are 6 year old hardware (well, 7 now...at least for xbox), but the components are actually chosen a few years before that and at the time they are pretty good bits. but by the time the boxes come out they are already obsolete, in the computer world anyway. i mean, the xbox has 512Mb of ram...which was pretty standard at the time for lower end computers! 3 core processor, decent graphics chip. the power of a console comes in the fact that games can be optimized to the max for the hardware it is running on. other than that, a PC of the same cost is usually more powerful.

i still love my consoles though... :mrgreen:
