Good job man! The lay out looks great. Try and mess around with a transparent overlay like Hagg does to stress the ruts in the corners and such. If you download his recent release Valkenswaard, check out his overlay in edit mode, it is completely crazy what he does.

You can find one of Haggqvists overlays in the 2012 Highpoint national track folder. It's even more impressive when you open it up and look at it in photoshop.
If Haggqvist reads this, I'd be really interested to know how he does the overlay for the on track. The tyre marks look like they're done with a very fine brush/pencil but I dont know how he gets the bumps and ruts under there. I'd guess it's a copy of the shading set to a very low opacity or something similar to that?

I don't want to speak for hagg because he uses an ortho map as a base I believe, but the way I do it is I make one giant decal and "paint" my texture just like the old days in MCM2 or MVA. You can add as much detail to that decal as you want. It doesn't replace the other decals, it just compliments them. So I generally do tire tracks, and color variation in the dirt. I don't want anything that is going to take away from the hi res of the decals and normal maps. Set it to a low opacity on top of all of your other decals. DJ has a great tutorial on making the MVA style texture to help get your decal sized right for your track.

Hey Ogden,great work on your track......It's lookin like a lotta fun.The only thing I could say is add some variation in you trees so they arn't all the same.....other than that,I can't wait to play it,thanks for sharing

[youtube][/youtube]This is my first replica track of Henstridge Rocketworld in the UK, it is not the newest layout because they are always changing it but its pretty fun!
We are only 1 day into making the track soo we have alot to do yet!! But keeping that in mind please leave comments and hope you like it soo far!

Right, here is the latest track i'm working on, along with 2 others but heres the one that is most "complete". The track layout is done but decals, objects, skybox etc. has only just been or isnt started yet. The track does have shaders its ust that my computer overheats and sounds like a jet taking off whenever i turn them on
.So this is just showing the track with shaders turned off. The decals are from the James Stewart Compound made by Motoboss, so cheers for the decals MB. I was also wondering if you guys could help me out with a good name for the track. I was orriginally going to call it "Moore Motoparc" but the more i think of that name the more i go off it, so any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!
