Upcoming Tracks and Track Objects #2
Re: Upcoming Tracks and Track Objects #2
One thing I suggest you might try is creating a decal for the bottom of your ruts. With the other decals and shaders going over them it can be very hard to see the bottom and ride it all the way through. Maybe get a few more types of billboard trees and vary them on the side of the track more too, you can see on the left side in the first photo that they are very repeated (also try changing the distance they are from off the side of the track too, so they're not in a perfect line).

I would also think about changing the height of some of the trees to add variation. It looks strange having all one size tree.

Well, first of all, keep up the good work because its looking good, but there were two things that stood out to me, 1) the track looks very narrow, could just be the pictures but yeah, it looks narrow. 2) your corners, sorry to say look a bit naff, try can easily be fixed though. When placing something such as a rut of a berm, change the focus to 0, then zoom out so that the circle covers the area in which you want the rut or berm then place it as you normally would. Using this method gives you smoother, gradual, realistic corners.
Hope this helped!

Thanks for the advice! Yeah, the track is a little narrow in game and in real life. It probably didn't help that I slapped on grass decals that were too big, lol, but I'll fix that and go over the corners.JT43 wrote:Well, first of all, keep up the good work because its looking good, but there were two things that stood out to me, 1) the track looks very narrow, could just be the pictures but yeah, it looks narrow. 2) your corners, sorry to say look a bit naff, try can easily be fixed though.
