Seems a little strange to me to have Night 1 on limited qualifying but round 2 be unlimited? No issues with limited qualifying to me, just seems inconsistent/strange..?

They do that to have the WI qualifying and then give everyone the time to redeem themselves on night 2. I personally love it, just wish I was better at WI qualifying

Always happy to provide some insight.

- It is cool to see the guys who excel with limited qualifying and the guys that excel with more time to dial in the track. Some guys prefer one or the other, this gives a chance for both guys to have a time to shine.
- It would be impossible to fit all the classes plus limited qualifying into one night of racing. It would make for a 5+ hour event.
- Once the track is out, you can't limit guys from playing it; so the second night has to be open qualifying.
- It's basically 2 separate series running in conjunction. Each night is unique.
- While we enjoy the limited qualifying, once you run the race the track "dies" in a sense and many guys never play it again. This sucks once you put weeks into making a track. This allows us to run the qualifying that many enjoy (limited) and still have a track to get played throughout the week to prepare for the other night of racing.
- Some guys can't make Sundays, some can't make Wednesdays, it gives more people more chances to race. Another benefit of multiple nights. And someone should applaud Blake because multiple nights means double the commitment on his side to be there to host two nights each week. Remember he's an adult with his own business he's running that he puts aside for this stuff.

As you can see, a lot of thought goes into the structure of the premier events in MXS, that is the reason that they have become so popular and pull the turnouts they do.
