Oh okay! Guess you should have credit too then. There is just 1 "single" + turn I haven't done anything to, just slightly widened a rut going out of the turn. Quite a few jumps are left in the original shape, just narrowed down.
yeah i mostly did the layout some decals and most of the jumps, it looks how i left it anyway

Did you pull height data for i or just do something else?

I haven't played with world machine in a while but you can get some really cool results from it for erosion and whatnot with texture and displacement outputs (what the MvA guys used to use).

I haven't used height data for my stuff. Is this something I should look into?

I had a lot of big plans to do things with L3DT and Terragen that I never did using their terrain and texture stuff. Few test trial runs but never put anything to motion. Stupid work and school, crushing dreams since day 1.

I was just curious if you used it for the offtrack stuff like rain ruts and stuff but normally it isn't detailed enough to look good.

Here's an example of what world machine can do, I did from a track Darr was working on. Obviously you'd mask out the track path and whatnot afterwards, but for a base texture, and smoothing the output displacement map (to decrease geometry for in game use) with a normal map created from the actual output it probably wouldn't look too bad.
Image
Example of the texture output at 8192x8192, the colors can all be changed and stuff.

It might be too much of a pain and cause fps decreases to be worth it for tracks specifically made to race on, but otherwise I think you could get some really cool results. If you ride the original Mission Valley Checkerz did you can see rain ruts and stuff, not sure if he did those by hand or this method though.
