2017 rF Supercross (Pro and Amateur)
Re: 2017 rF Supercross (Pro and Amateur)
Pretty disappointed with rF toinght. I know shit happens, but when the ams pay as much as the pros and we get automated scripts it's pretty lame. Especially when they don't even work. Not going to "boycott rf" or anything like was said in-game by others but in the future, better communication on this stuff with everyone should be done.

I was nowhere near as disappointed or pissed off at rF tonight as everyone else was. Yes of course it's a bummer that we didn't get to race, but it sure did not deserve the reaction it got from everyone in the server. Everyone acted like this happens week after week. It'll be the same people that will be crying when ams gets taken away again like before. Thanks to all that are involved with this large scale program, I can't even imagine how many hours you guys have to put aside to work on all of this.

I think Ams should be thankful/lucky that there's even a series for them to race in. When I first started playing, saddle up bud, you're jumping right into the pro class.
Re: 2017 rF Supercross (Pro and Amateur)
I think it's less of an amateur/pro class thing as it is communication with people. Look, I'm not bashing rF. I'm the first to thank the track makers and the hosts because they keep the racing community alive. Truthfully, they're very underappreciated. I just think that if we're paying also, there should be better hosting and better communication with the racers. Like I said, I understand shit happens and I realize that this isn't normal. People on the server were going extreme which is ridiculous. I just think in the future it could be handled better. Looking forward to the next race whenever it may be.
Side Note: I don't think it's fair to say "ams should be thankful." Amateur riders are the "up and comers" that can introduce new people to sim, grow the current community of hardcore sim players. If there was no AM class most people would give up on competitive sim almost immediately because they level you dudes race at is insane. That's why I love rf's novice class for the fact that it introduces SO many new people to competitive sim and it will help grow rF in the future.

i have nothing to bitch about cause 250w ams ran fine, but thankful/lucky for something we pay for is kinda Bullshit!!!!!!Ddavis wrote:I think Ams should be thankful/lucky that there's even a series for them to race in. I haven't even downloaded the track yet, so obviously didn't have a go at racing this week. But can someone fill me in on what happened with the Am's? Who raced and who didn't and how much racing was actually done??

Everyone pays an equal amount to receive equal service. I paid $25, you paid $25, everyone paid $25. If we should be "thankful" like you say for paying $25, which I will remind you is the SAME as the rest of you, we should be treated like the pros. Shouldn't matter about your level or speed at the game, we all pay for a service and therefore have a right to be a little annoyed.Ddavis wrote:I think Ams should be thankful/lucky that there's even a series for them to race in. "Back in your day" there were no way near the amount of people playing the game, and it was way less competitive to even reach the pro class. So you comparing that makes no sense. Hell someone even won a championship with auto gearing!
I know if your series went wrong you would be crying on the forums to whoever will listen so don't act like you're on some high horse because you're better at a game than some of the newcomers.
You still paid $25.

+0.9 This is a lot of my thought process and feel the same way except I will point out that I'm thankful the series exists. I think that's where a lot of people aren't looking because even though I don't fully agree with DDavis about the whole thing, it is awesome that the am series exists and allows us to race against other am's. With that being said, if it's going to be offered and charged for, I think the same amount of effort should be put in whether it be a bunch of pre work to run scripts or to have a host like pro's. I know that this week was different for whatever reasons and I get that the wrong script was loaded because human error exists and it was obvious that they tried to set it up just put it for Open so that's a one-off issue. I'd say I'd be irritated if it continued because then it would just show how much of an after thought am's really are which would be wrong. Re: 2017 rF Supercross (Pro and Amateur)
I would just like to point out that i was not one of the ones bashing rf, i was just waiting and hoping to race... i think they do a great job every other time and it was just a mistake. But i would like to say that i want the whole night to be done another time because my brother got 3rd in the novice heat and then he got sent to the lcq.... so there was obviously something wrong besides the 450 ams. Im sure rf is working to fix all of this now! Thanks.
