Re: Saffing tracks
Exact problem I encountered with WW Ranch. The saf creator doesn't like subfolders, thus the track won't work properly in game. If you have Python (it's not very difficult to get the saf script working), then this thread will be helpful. http://forum.mxsimulator.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=321&hilit=han...

Re: Drone scanned track
Straight from the scan except for some terrain smoothing. I also quickly got rid of the bridge, archs and a tree for the sake of the video.

Re: WW Ranch 2017 [3D scanned - release]
Could you elaborate a bit? What didn't you like about the traction? And which kickers? I only know of i'd say 2 or 3 small doubles (after the masive single and 180) which have bumps on the face of the jump, do you mean those? IMO it doesn't matter if theres only 1 or 2, theres still kickers and kic...

Re: 3D scanned track
q3wXggCqY_8 That's pretty much it for the basic scan. Getting it in game and working properly is a whole different story. It takes time to get everything working fine. Think about proper scaling etc. These drone scans also turn out pretty bumpy. As said in the video, the result depends on how high ...

Re: WW Ranch 2017 [3D scanned - release]
Traction threw it off for me. Especially with the weird kickers on the lips of the jumps. Could you elaborate a bit? What didn't you like about the traction? And which kickers? I only know of i'd say 2 or 3 small doubles (after the masive single and 180) which have bumps on the face of the jump, do...

WW Ranch 2017 [3D scanned - release]
https://i.imgur.com/xLUeK9Z.png 3D Scanned by Hunter Root. WW Ranch is Florida's no. 1 ranked motocross. A rough sandy wide open track with lots of big jumps to throw it sideways. I didn't want to make the track too rough. I wanted it to be enjoyable with and without erode. It's not too rough to ge...

Re: Upcoming Tracks and Track Objects #2
Yes, it is Hunter Root's scanned WW Ranch. Had to do quite some work on the terrain to smooth out the bumpy scan. Overall I really enjoy this track, it's insane how the heightmap, from the scam, turned out eventually.M@xTizZz wrote:drone scannColtonD719 wrote:That overlay is looking siiickSandhapper wrote:Couple of small things left.

Re: Drone scanned track
Looks really cool. Is that in some way altered or is it straight off of the drone scan? Every scan needs some sort of smoothing. One scan more than the other. I have a standard routine in blender and photoshop for the initial smoothing. As you can tell from the video, it is still quity bumpy. The s...

Re: 2018 [EU region] World MXSGP series by MXSEMF
Regarding the track visuals I must admit there are plenty of things we can still improve on but people have to take in consideration that the actual google images are WAY better in the US than in Europe. I am not saying the rF track crew have an easier job, or do less than we do. Though, we can basi...

dp but apparently turning for the first corner makes too much sense.. https://gyazo.com/59cfa46564974f6e76faa780e1805243.gif Pretty sure that was me in the first moto (450s). I gotta admit I went a little too fast and was about to make a wide turn no matter what happend, and I am sorry for that. Bu...
