- I mean - just like the other old MCM guys...

I have a RaceSeat, a dedicated wheel, etc. & it is a lot of fun - but it still ain't MX!
- after trying the demo with my controls working & trying the MP...
- I am hooked & just bought the full version!

IDK WTF is going on now though.... because with the same graphic settings that I ran in the demo (and even less options than that) the full version is crashing... very bummed... but I'm about to try my old PC with a ATI 4850-512mb under Windows 7-64.

However, looking @ the full versions lastlog.txt file, I notice that it only lists 1920x1080 @ 24mhz.
- I am running the ATI overdrive option @ 120mhz (which my monitor supports) but 60mhz is the default.
- I am going to try a custom profile @ 24mhz and see if that works.
- I also tried it in WINDOWED MODE @ a lower resolution, but still NFG!

Anyway - really happy to see you guys still around... I guess the true addicts will always be addicts...
- the other guys have proven themselves to be posers, eh?

King, Have you tried iRacing ?

I used to play all those mcm games (still have the discs). My zone name was Y2K_rebel_yell. I didnt follow a lot of the online scene, much the same nowadays too, but if you made tracks then I probably played it online. Im surprised that old mcm guys shun this yet will fire up a car simulation. Why ask for a car game thats a full simulation but then want an arcade game for mx. Id go crazy if I was stuck with only mva.

Dont give up. Join the fun online and ask for help, i dont mind sharing settings.

Bryan! Hit me up on msn messanger at vrt_rideblue65@hotmail.com or email at rideblue@charter.net

I must warn you though, iRacing is most intense sim I have ever used. You have iratings (basically speed rating) and Safety ratings (dont get into wrecks or your safety rating will fall)

I may have qualified for the iRacing Pro series that starts this may, They are taking the top 300 (this is in the road division) by 70% irating and 30% safety rating, I am around 200 right now. (out of aprx 11,000 road racers all over the world) My oval skills are lacking though. I am an A license, and it looks like they will be running the Riley Daytona Prototype this season (18 week season)

WOW - this thread has changed topics 10 times! Here's a few more:

Great to see you guys again. I remember all of you guys for sure.
- VRT_RideBlue65, X_butterbean, Y2K_rebel(yell?), etc.

NEW TOPIC:
VRT_RideBlue65 - iRacing - YES I have tried it & it ROX.
- awesome system, but you must be totally dedicated when you pay that much to race a GAME!
- I was running Live For Speed but got bored with "no name brand" cars or tracks.
- I still run some mods for RACE 07, RACE ON, GTR EVO, but it is not nearly as realistic.
- I am looking forward to rFactor2

NEW TOPIC:
X_butterbean - I remember hounding a Rainbow guy (Rob?) in the ZONE to give us Megadrive Blues REVERSE and then another guy (Team TNT guy?) made a Saturday & Sunday track that also really rocked. I made some others called I made AMA_Twin-Duro Saturday & Sunday, Strawberry Hill North & South, (Something) Day & Night, etc. I recently tried DJ's Maxxis EnduroX, Denver in reverse & it was lots of FUN!

NEW TOPIC:
I can't find any of my old DISP maps...
- I wonder if it would even be possible to clear the gaps on "Danger Island" with this game?
- I know AMA_DirtTwister had a way to unzip MCM2 *.ENV files to get DISP maps & TEXTURES

NEW TOPIC:
I can't get off of ARCADE mode with a joystick!
The game rides great with a joystick in Arcade, but I fall over instantly when I turn it off.
I tried an X360 controller and can't find a natural button config like the joystick.
- I made a new thread for this topic @ http://mxsimulator.com/benchracing3/vie ... f=1&t=4862

NEW TOPIC:
I've tried everything to run this game on my main gaming PC - but no luck...
- uninstalled drivers, ran driver cleaner in safe mode, then installed new drivers, no overclocking of anything...
- this PC just refuses to run anything but the stock tracks at "GROUND TEXTURE RESOLUTION" of 32x32 & all others crash.
- my old PC can run this game just fine (Q6600 2.4 @ 3.2GHZ) but the FPS sucks in MP unless I crank options down (not max).
- FYI - new PC = Win XP 32 (sig) NOT overclocked - - - old PC = Win 7 64 + overclocked

LAST TOPIC:
Sometimes I talk to much...

Depending on the image file format for mcm2.env files, I can get the image out for ya.

Lots of track creators I looked up to in this thread. Good to see you guys.

And the 2XL game was their iPhone SX game that was released for PC (on steam). It's similar to MVA in many ways.

Well - Win XP just won't play this game on my living room PC (sig) with anything but 32x32 textures.
I partitioned my HD to dual boot to my XP 32-bit & installed Win 7 64-bit...
IT WORKS GREAT @ 1920x1080 32-bit color 60hz (same settings as my XP).

Now I just need a server that will let me run ARCADE!
- I HATE this X360 controller and can't control this little tiny diddle stick.

Anyway, see you guys online in 2-3 months when I get a little more control!

WHOO-HOO!!!! This game totally rocks!!!!

King, you need to get off those aweful arcade physics and get used to simulation physics! Once you learn how to ride with sim physics, the game becomes 100x better and 100x more fun (and 100x more aggrivating at the same time :)). Get on sim physics and put the stability at like 65 and just cruise around and get used to the control. Once you start to get confortable, lower the stability by 10, and keep going. Most riders around here ride with anywhere from 20-30 stability, so if you could reach 30 stability and still have control, you are doing well :). Keep at it, and dont give up!

Thanks... BoNalls Shack!

Naturally, the first thing I wanted to do was try a bunch of "User Made Tracks"
- the only way I could do that was to play on arcade mode.

Now, I see the potential of the game & I am doing as you suggested...
- how about sending me your bike setup to try out?
- maybe add some tweaks that might make it easier to "break me in"

I moved to SIM mode & I'm sticking to the Bunny Hill...
- still can't beat the damn AI on EXPERT.

Also - I am still dorking around with control mapping...
I started a post asking for help with X360 control mapping... here:
