stupid fing computer HELP

Post by Northspeed543 »

I bought a new asus laptop and mxe. just stops working an says windows is checking for problemes but it says windows couldnt find any problemes.
Laptop is windows 7
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470
I have tried upgrading the driver but windows wont let me.
I have searched the forums and tried to fix the probleme that way but no luck.
When I try to take a screen shot it comes out all black and white.
Any help would be great!

did it work previously on that laptop ? its sounds like it may have worked but then you changed something/ updated something ?

Or did it work on a old computer and you put it on your laptop trying to get it to work ? (could not have the performance power as a desktop )

Worst case, copy your personal folder (skins, tracks) and delete it all and reinstall. Just to see if it fixes the problem.

Does it load the program up to the menu ?

And yeah I can play the game for about ten minutes, no lag online or any problemes, then it just freezes and shuts the game down.

Sorry I'm confused a little your posts contradicted eachother. The game does play on your laptop ? But only for a little? Or does it play on your desktop only for 10 mins and not at all on your new laptop ?

my old desktop would do this. except it would freeze the whole computer up. jlv and others helped me try about a million different things and i could never get it working.

Ok, I can play on my old desktop and it works great, No probleme there. I can play on my laptop for about ten minutes and then the game just stops working and shuts down.
When I am playing it on my laptop it works fantastic for about ten minutes then it just stops working.

I think I am just going to delete everything and re-install the game today to see if that fixes it, nothing else works and im frustrated. lol

Try installing new video drivers, it sounds like maybe it is a memory leak bug.

I'd guess it's the ATI memory leak or something is overheating. You can slow down the memory leak by reducing ground texture levels / resolution.
