yes i have finally been able to figure it out. by using cross over games, a program allowing you to use certain windows programs on mac.
steps on how to do it.
1. download cross over games, you can legitly buy it or torrent it if you want(educational purposes only)
2. go to your mxs installer and open it through cross over games(right click and open with. yes macs can right click too!!!).
3. the installer will pop up, follow the tips and it will install.
4. you can find it in your applications but...
5. if you need to find where the original folder is follow these steps below
6. go into your personal account in the finder ie. (home logo)bob marley.
7. the click on library - application support - cross over games - bottles - winxp - drive_c - program files - then to mx simulator.
8. i couldnt find a personal folder so i dragged the one from windows into it.
all game data should be good. i havent figured out how to get the xbox 360 controller to work yet so if anyone figures it out please give me a shout. i hope this help clear up the mac woes that some have talked about and if you need any help just comment below. ps. when you first open mxs it will probably open with a white page, close it and re open mxs and it should work fine from then on.
mxs works on mac!!!
Re: mxs works on mac!!!
i have found out how to use a controller. gamepad companion lets you configure it to keys on the keyboard and it situates in the system prefs once downloaded. it is only a trial version but i know that their is a video on youtube that gives you a code, which im not telling you where it is since i dont want to be affiliated(educational purposes only, find it at your own risk). although it works good, RT and LT wont work since i think it uses a 1 to 0 to -1 setup so when you are not pressing down on the trigger it is on 1 then when you are half way it is a 0 being off then when you are at -1 it is on again(correct me if im wrong) all i know is that those buttons seem to be always on when you use them in this software. i just used (A) button for the accelerator and the right analog stick for reverse. if you got any questions about it comment below and no im not finding you any serial numbers.

Gamepad Companion doesn't really let you use a controller as a controller. It just mimics keyboard buttons, so you get no analogue input. Steering, throttle, clutch, brakes, everything will be on/off, with no modulation.buckrace1 wrote:i have found out how to use a controller. gamepad companion lets you configure it to keys on the keyboard and it situates in the system prefs once downloaded. it is only a trial version but i know that their is a video on youtube that gives you a code, which im not telling you where it is since i dont want to be affiliated(educational purposes only, find it at your own risk). although it works good, RT and LT wont work since i think it uses a 1 to 0 to -1 setup so when you are not pressing down on the trigger it is on 1 then when you are half way it is a 0 being off then when you are at -1 it is on again(correct me if im wrong) all i know is that those buttons seem to be always on when you use them in this software. i just used (A) button for the accelerator and the right analog stick for reverse. if you got any questions about it comment below and no im not finding you any serial numbers.
I know that Snow Leopard can recognize the PS3 controller through bluetooth without downloading any drviers, but MXS doesn't recognize the controller for some reason.

How well does MXS run on the mac?
Do shaders etc work?
Might be gettting a macbook pro & wanna know if I'm gonna be disappointed with how the game runs or not (that being said - pretty much anything will be better than what I have now)
