If you're running 64 bit Vista try this driver instead.
If you're on 32 bit Vista or the 64 bit driver doesn't work, make sure you really do have that GPU. Click the Windows Start button, click Run, type dxdiag in the Open box, and then click OK. Then click the display tab. That should show you the model and manufacturer of your graphics processor.

Re: mx sim isnt working
Thanks JLV! I am running ATI graphics, and recently the game was not responding and did all kinds of stuff. I tried this, and it worked! Thanks!jlv wrote:If you're running an ATI graphics card try disabling Catalyst AI in the Catalyst Control Center.

Sounds like you spent more on the game than this "new computer".angus338 wrote:DONT BUY THIS IT IS SUCH A WASTE OF MONEY

STUPID WASTE OF MONEY
The X800 is from 2004. Though looking at the specs, it should still be able to run the game. And the driver looks like the most recent
Make sure you run the game with both "Use Framebuffer Objects" and "Use Shader Programs" set to off

Re: mx sim isnt working
If they work, framebuffer objects are likely to improve the framerate. It depends on how the card's memory is arranged. I'd try it both ways and see which is smoother.
It looks like driver support for that card was discontinued after Catalyst 9.4. I'm not sure about ATI's versioning but I think 8.56.1.15 is Catalyst 8.12. So your drivers aren't the best available. Go to the ATI driver page and try the legacy driver.
